Diablo 4 BlizzCon 2016 Release Update: David Brevik Returns To Blizzard For A Diablo Game? [Watch]

Diablo 4 release at the BlizzCon 2016 is not yet confirmed. However, rumors suggest that a new Diablo game or even the fourth installment of the franchise can be possible. And it is because the two former veterans of Blizzard recently visited the office. David Brevik and Bill Roper worked on the Diablo game previously. Are they re-joining the company to develop Diablo 4?

Blizzard is all set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Diablo at its annual event in between Nov. 4 and 6, 2016. According to recent reports, the lead designers, animators, and creators will throw light on the legacy of the game during the event. They will also answer related questions. And at present, the key question is whether the game developer is coming out with Diablo 4 or not.

Will Blizzard Release Diablo 4 At BlizzCon 2016?

It does not seem likely that Blizzard will come out with the fourth Diablo game by November first week. Even then, fans started speculating about it when news broke that Bill Roper and David Brevik visited the Blizzard studio. These two are Diablo veterans who helped the game developer to take the franchise to greater heights.

Brevik posted an image of a constellation on his social account along with a message. He said that games like Diablo have evolved and surprised everyone for 20 years. He further said in the message that he is proud to be the adviser of Diablo. This last statement made the fans speculate that Brevik is rejoining Blizzard to develop Diablo 4.

However, when the rumors started circulating about his return, Brevik was quick to dispel them. He immediately tweeted the next day that he is not working on Diablo franchise currently or in near future, reports Gamespot. Roper too dismissed the rumor of working with Blizzard once again.

So, despite the fact that the veteran employees of the company did visit Blizzard, they are not returning for Diablo 4. Does this mean that there will not be a Diablo 4 ever?
