According to slashfilm.com, the tracking for the movie has been started by its distributors even though it will be released in December 18, and of all the predictions that have been made till now, things range from record obliterating to record shattering.
When Disney is asked about its opinion, the studio looked a bit nervous regarding the performance of the movie. This is because of the fact that if the expectations bar is kept high, then the movie “The Force Awakens” will have to perform according to that expectations and don’t turn out to be a disappointment in the end.
When we talk about the domestic opening of the movie “The Force Awakens,” reports released by Deadline mentions that the projection has been kept somehow between $180 million and $200 million. Some sources, who are too optimistic about the opening of the movie, have kept the bar at $300 million.
According to newsarama.com, when things were put across Disney, it kept the prediction bar only at $170 million, which is quite lower than what others have predicted. In all the four quadrants, the movie is tracking really well.
Lets us take some reality check on these estimates, the biggest opener for the month of December in the U.S. was at $85 million that of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” This estimate is not even half of the lowest level of predictions by “The Force Awakens.”
