“What if there’s a place, a secret place, where nothing is impossible? Miraculous place, where you could actually change the world, you wanna go?”

In “Tomorrowland”, Under the Dome” star Britt Robertson plays Casey Newton. She is a girl from Florida who dreams of the future as she watches launchpads of Cape Canaveral being disassembled. Casey ends up with a mysterious pin. If it was touched, the person will be transported into a far flung place in space and time known as “Tomorrowland.” Her discovery of the pin leads her to Frank Walker, played by Clooney. Walker is a bitter and jaded former “boy genius” who seems to know more about Tomorrowland than he wants to tell.

“We begin our movie asking what did [the future] used to be? – What’s good about the future and what’s scary about it? And we wrestle with those things in a slightly mythical way” said “Tomorrowland” helmer Brad Bird. He was known for directing films such as “The Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille” and “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.”said “Tomorrowland” helmer Brad Bird in the Entertainment Weekly (EW) article. Sharing its name with the futuristic-themed land found at Disney theme parks, “Tomorrowland” depicts  a heavy sense of nostalgia and of hope and exploration drawn from the inspirations of Walt Disney who had spectacular ideas of what the future might look like, as defined in his “Tomorrowland” theme park.

“What Hogwarts is to magic, Tomorrowland is to science: They are both easy to find if you are a wizard and very difficult to find if you’re a Muggle” adds Damon Lindelof, who penned the screenplay of the pic.” adds Damon Lindelof, who penned the screenplay of the pic, in a separate EW report.

“Tomorrowland” is directed by Brad Bird, co-written and produced by Bird and Damon Lindelof. The film stars George Clooney as Frank Walker, Britt Robertson as Casey Newton, Hugh Laurie as David Nix, Walker’s scientific rival, Raffey Cassidy and  Thomas Robinson.  Kathryn Hahn and Keegan-Michael Key also star  as an eccentric couple who owns the mysterious “Blast From the Past” while Tim McGraw and Judy Greer plays as Casey’s parents.
