When things get awry, people choose to stand beside those they hold dear in their lives. For Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), she couldn’t care any less about the rebellion. She just wanted to stay with her family and save Peeta, but her perception changed when she set foot on the land she called home — the District 12. Lionsgate surely knows how to get their waiting audiences highly anticipating in the recently released trailer for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.”
“No one else can do this but her. We need to make it personal for her. Let her see what the Capitol did to District 12.” Featuring Lorde’s soundtrack, “Yellow Flicker Beat,” the third trailer of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” features Katniss being transported back to her homeland and treads on her path home that is destroyed to rubbles. With image sequences encompassed with of the place in ruins, she hides her bewilderment and pains, witnessing what has become of the place that she used to call her home. She heads to the house she’s won from the games, and it is still in its glory. However, it’s all empty. Grabbing what she could from the house, she finds a vase filled with dried roses. However, in the middle of it, she finds a fresh white one — a simple yet strong indication that President Snow is behind all of this.
According to Hollywood Life, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1” will be the first part of the movie adaptation of the darkest book in the series. It will be ridden with “battles, tears and epic moments” that would truly bring people on the edge of their seats. Reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence is joined by Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore among the many stars who are also reprising their roles and adding up to the cast. It opens in theaters this Nov. 21, 2014.
