‘Divergent’ Actor Theo James Remains Grounded Despite All The Attention, Wants To Be Recognized As An Actor And Not As A Celebrity
Theo James remains grounded in spite of all the accomplishments that he has gotten recently. The “Divergent” actor divulged that acting has always been in his blood but he has never really given much thought of the fame that comes along with it. Read on for more details.
According to Contact Music, James is still unmoved by the bright lights of the Hollywood limelight.
“I’m still the same person so it hasn’t really changed me. It’s not like I go to trendy parties, that’s not particularly my thing, not that there’s anything wrong with it,” James said.
The 30-year-old English actor though has accepted that just like in real life there are two sides to a coin for one’s disposition. It was when it comes to the everyday trappings of Hollywood.
”So I don’t think it needs to change you unless you want it to.”
In an interview with TV 3, James also gave his two-cents on how the internet has created a distorted image of accessibility for people involved in the business like him.
“To be honest, one thing that’s trickier is what’s happening now with how connected we are globally is the blurring of the lines between being an actor as your job and being a celebrity,” the actor explained.
On a much lighter note, James was all smiles with the current added attention he has gotten through his “Divergent” co-star Shailene Woodley.
The 23-year-old actress, who plays Beatrice “Tris” Prior in their sci-fi dystopian movie series disclosed to in an interview with Melty, that her co-star is a “good kisser.” James as comical retort claimed that he paid Woodley money for that.
Both actors will be seen reprising their roles in “Divergent: Allegiant Part 1” due to be seen in theaters in March 2016.
The movies are based on the “Divergent Trilogy” by American novelist Veronica Roth.
