‘Divergent: Allegiant’ Star Shailene Woodley’s Secret Life, As Revealed By Co-Star Allen Evangelista
Shailene Woodley immediately became one of the generation’s leading actresses, following her successful performances in the “Divergent” movie series as Tris and in “The Fault in Our Stars” as Hazel. Have you ever wondered how the 23-year-old star fairs behind the cameras? Read on to learn more about this scoop.
Woodley made her breakthrough appearance in the ABC Family series, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” as Amy Juergens. Woodley, however, instantly rose to fame after her appearance in “Divergent” next to Theo James.
If you have ever wondered about Woodley’s life behind-the-scenes, her former co-star, Allen Evangelista, reveals everything you need to know about the “Insurgent” actress.
“She’s always been really nice and sweet and she gives cast gifts at the end of every season and writes us letters and then we’d all talk and hang out,” Evangelista told J-14.
Evangelista played the role of Henry on the series alongside Woodley. He added that the “Allegiant” actress was “very, very sweet and humble and down-to-earth.” He also praised Woodley for her exemplary performance in the movie adaptation of John Green’s novel, “The Fault in Our Stars.”
“I’m very happy for her blowing up. Completely. It’s awesome,” Evangelista said.
Meanwhile, Woodley’s co-star in “Divergent: Allegiant Part 1” Theo James, also seemingly shares the same thoughts about the actress in an earlier interview with Elle magazine.
As previously reported, the 30-year-old actor described Woodley as a “very open and fun person.” James admitted that Woodley’s fun and perky personality really helped break the ice and ultimately, the awkwardness between them, as they both shared an intimate scene in “Insurgent.”
“What I realized is that she’s probably a much better person than I am. I am impressed by her level of ethical ability to kind of strive to be a better person,” James shared.
Shailene Woodley and Theo James are about to star in the upcoming sequel, “Divergent: Allegiant,” which hits theatres on March 18, 2016. Stay tuned on Movie News Guide (MNG) for more updates.
