‘Doctor Who’ News: Why It Isn’t The Right Show To ‘Netflix And Chill?’
Even though “Doctor Who” is a great show for both kids & adults, die-hard fans, and newcomers, it is not the right show to simply “Netflix and Chill.” We are sure you would be anxious to know the reason.
According to Cinema Blend and The Planet Gossip, “Doctor Who” could not be labeled as the type of show to “Netflix and chill.” Indeed, this is very clear from the statements of Rachel Talalay, the director of the show.
Talalay discussed about the theatrical mind behind the legendary BBC show’s season 8 and season 9 finales, on her official Tumblr feed.
“The episode requires attention – I don’t think it’s ‘Netflix and chill’,” Talalay said.
She said that the episodes of the show certainly need the viewer’s full undivided attention even in its worst hour. Indeed, the episodes require your eyes glued to the TV screen.
Particularly, with the arrival, departure and return of the characters in several contexts throughout, the “Doctor Who” show requires “episodic viewing.”
The stories in the “Doctor Who” show are exciting and captivating enough to make you hung up on before your TV. Your total attention to The Doctor and his adventures is mandatory throughout the episode when the legendary BBC show starts running.
As a conclusion, we could say that “Doctor Who” is not a potential weapon of seduction. It is not the right show if you are willing to engage in a “Netflix and Chill” session. The creature designs, and fantastic plot of the episodes of the show necessarily requires “undivided attention.” Of course, you could watch the episodes, have some discussion related to the show, and then enjoy the “Chill” portion of your day.
