‘Doctor Strange’ Movie: ‘Hannibal’ Star Mads Mikkelsen Joins Benedict Cumberbatch
“Doctor Strange” of Marvel Cinematic Universe eyes “Hannibal” fame Mads Mikkelsen to play the antagonist in the movie. Kevin Feige’s “Doctor Strange” has an A-list star cast and Mad Mikkelsen’s involvement is just going to be cherry on the cake.
Mads Mikkelsen has already earned title of ‘cannibal’ from his recently shelved TV Series “Hannibal.” The joining of Mads Mikkelsen with Benedict Cumberbatch might just be the only thing missing. Although, there has been no official comments from the Marvel’s team, Variety reports that Mikkelsen will be playing villain opposite to Cumberbatch’s titular sorcerer.

Marvel producer Kevin Feige expresses on “Doctor Strange” as it would be ‘as weird as anything we’ve done.’ IMDb notes that the Marvel producer does not want it to be just another Marvel hero origin story. The movie will have a bang start with the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange!
“Doctor Strange” plot will follow a surgeon with a already destroyed career being trained under a sorcerer to save the world from the evil.
“Doctor Strange” Cast Update:
“Doctor Strange” has recently approached Mads Mikkelsen to play the antagonist. Benedict Cumberbatch, who previously denied for the role in the movie due to schedule issues, will be seen playing the role of Steven Vincent Strange (Dr Strange) who becomes the Sorcerer Supreme. Tilda Swinton will be playing The Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor will play the role of Baron Mordo.
Rachel McAdams is rumoured to play The Scarlet Witch and will serve as Doctor Strange’s apprentice. Scott Derrickson will direct “Doctor Strange.” Cinematography will be by Ben Davis of “Guardians of The Galaxy” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Kevin Feige will serve as producer.
