‘Doctor Strange’ Movie Update: Rachel McAdams And ‘Hannibal’ Mads Mikkelsen Join Opposite Bendict Cumberbatch; Will Reveal Darker Side
There are many moviegoers who are not very familiar with Marvel’s “Doctor Strange.” But comic book geeks are very well aware of the dark and psychedelic history of the Sorcerer Supreme, and rumours suggest that if things go as planned then there will be a movie that may open the ‘darker’ side for Marvel Studios.
According to Movie Pilot, cinematographer Ben Davis said during BAFTA Masterclass in London, that “Doctor Strange” will not be like any usual typical Marvel action movie as it will cover new psychedelic sides.
Besides, but there are further speculations that “Hannibal” star Mads Mikkelsen will be cast in the mysterious role. As expected, all the “Hannibal” fans started speculating which character he will be playing. According to the Christian Post, if Mads Mikkelsen will be cast into the film then he will most probably be given a role similar to Chiwetel Ejiofor, who on the other hand is going to portray the lead antagonist in “Doctor Strange.”
According to Cinema Blend, “True Detective Season 2” star, Rachel McAdams is also up for a role in “Doctor Strange,” which is being directed by Scott Derrickson. Not only this, but even the actress has confirmed that the talks are in fact real. In an interview with Los Angeles Times, the actress said that it’s still very early to comment on anything. “I don’t know where that’s gonna go –if it’s gonna anywhere at all,” the actress added.
If Rachel McAdams comes on board then she will be joining Benedict Cumberbatch who is already casted as Sorcerer Supreme. There are also few actors who are already been casted, like Tilda Swinton who will be playing the Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejifor who is going to play Baron Mordo.
“Doctor Strange” is slated for 2016 release.
