‘Doctor Strange’: Official Cast, Crew, Post-Production Lead And Locations Of Shooting Revealed

Marvel Studios has been busy lately with the shooting of “Doctor Strange.” The official cast list has been announced and we also have the information in which locations filming would be done. Read to get insights!

 Screen Rant reports, some part of the filming of “Doctor Strange” has been done in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. Many unofficial photos got clicked somehow and this is how fans got to see the first look of the movie. Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange is all rugged and bearded while Chiwetel Ejiofor would play the role of Baron Mordo.

“Doctor Strange” is being lately filmed in Pinewood Studios in London. It is the same studio where Marvel also shot “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Thor: The Dark World.”

The news is some of the sequences of the comic-based film would also be shot in popular destinations like New York and Hong Kong. The New York set would also used for some Marvel TV heroes in the future. Many believe that it would act to diminish the gap between the TV heroes and film landscape of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Michael Stuhlbarg would be seen in the role of Dr. Nicodemus West, Tilda Swinton would play the role of mentor of Strange, Mads Mikkelsen would be the rejoiced villain, Dormammu, and Rachel McAdams is rumored to play the role of Night Nurse.

It has been stated on Marvel site, the story of “Doctor Strange” surrounds around Doctor Stephen Strange who becomes acquainted to the world of magic after a car accident. Ben Davis is the director of photography, costume designer is Alexandra Byrne, and Charles Wood is the production designer. Editing work of the movie would be handled by Wyatt Smith and Sabrina Plisco. The visual effects supervisor of the film would be Stephane Ceretti.
