‘Doctor Strange’ Update: Rachel McAdams To Play A Night Nurse Not Dark Dimension Clea?
As we already know that Rachel McAdams has landed a role in the upcoming and highly awaited Marvel Cinematic Universe’s project based on the origin story of “Doctor Strange,” but everything related to the character she will be playing in the movie has been kept under wrap till now. Rumors related to her bigger role in the movie were started making rounds ever since she boarded the project but as per a new speculation, her character will not be bigger than the expected one.
Previously, it was speculated that Rachel McAdams will play the very famous love interest of the Doctor who becomes Sorcerer Supreme after learning the mystic arts from a hermit called the Ancient One. Clea is the name of that character who started living on Earth, following her banishment from the Dark Dimension and saved by Dr. Strange from the hands of her mother Umar.
But currently, rumors are rife that to portray Clea as the Doctor’s lover will increase the duration of the movie because in such case the makers have to tell her story too which is unacceptable to them.
As per the information received from the side of Latino-review, McAdams will be seen in the role of Christine Palmer aka Night Nurse from another Marvel’s comic “Night Nurse.” It was also said that by omitting Clea’s character and, including a nurse from Earth opposite Doctor, the makers are trying to give more stress on the Doctor’s role itself which they cannot do by portraying Clea’s character.
The only revelation related to McAdams character came from the Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in which he said, “She’s the audience’s eyes to a certain extent. She plays a very, very big part in the movie and represents a certain point of view of the worlds that we experience in that movie.”
So, we are surrounded with so many speculations as far as the character of McAdams in the film is concerned and to know more about it we have to wait only.
