The pressure is on in the world of politics especially since it’s almost time for the presidential elections in the United States. 2016 signals the arrival of a new US President and one surprising candidate has just announced that he’s running for president of the United States.

He’s well-known for his wealth, for his properties all over the world and that time when he questioned Obama’s citizenship, which led Obama to reveal his birth certificate in 2011. Donald Trump has announced that he’s running for presidency this coming 2016.

“Our country needs a truly great leader, and we need a great leader now. we also need a cheerleader. Our country is in serious trouble, we don’t have victories anymore,” he said on his speech Tuesday morning in New York City.

The crowd grew wild during his speech. His speech also focused more on the foreign policy and the US’ international reputation and even singled out Mexico in his speech:

“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best, they’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems with us. They are bringing drugs and they are bringing crime, they’re rapists. Some, I assume, are good people.”

He also tackled the unemployment rate in the United States saying that the 5.6% isn’t true because it’s “anywhere from 18-19 and maybe even 21%.”

Trump aims to “make America great again.”

Despite his announcement, Trump hasn’t filed official paperwork with the Federal Election Commission, though. A spokesperson revealed that he will file within the allowed period.

Following his announcement, Trump’s Exploratory Committee also released his financial records with assets at $8.7 billion.

When asked if he’s funding his own campaign, “I’m really rich,” he answered.
