Downton Abbey Season 5 Teaser Promo [WATCH VIDEO]

“Downton Abbey” fans, there’s some good news for you! Your favorite show is set to return soon but before it does, check out the “Downton Abbey” Season 5 teaser promo.

Sue Johnston (“The Royle Family,” “Coronation Street”) will be joining “Downton Abbey” Season 5 in a guest role, as announced by Carnival Films and ITV. She will play the role of Denker, Lady’s Maid to Violet, the Dowager Countess of Grantham.

In the line that is narrated by Mr. Carson (Jim Carter) for the latest promo of “Downton Abbey” Season 5, we heard him say, “I feel a shaking of the ground I stand on. The nature of life is not permanent, but flux. Things are changing.” It was posted on ITV’s YouTube channel.

Judging from their newly released promo, it’s bound to get darker this time and death has always been one of our concerns especially when we look back at the characters that we have lost already, specifically Matthew and Sybil. Is another death upon us? It is always a possibility, though, but we think we should worry more about the death of an era.

We are getting near the end of the estate era with every season of “Downton Abbey” and a part of us wants to see the family struggle and try to figure out what to do next. However, there is also a part in all of us that wishes things to just stay the same or if possible, the estate era would not end at all. But where’s the thrill in that? Surely, fans of the show are eagerly anticipating the return of the series!
