‘Dragon Ball Super’: Release Date, Plot And New Characters Revealed

For all those who remember, “Dragon Ball Z” was one of the most popular animated Japanese series that was written and directed by Akira Toriyama in 1984. The series aired in the US in 1996 on Cartoon Network and quickly made its way to other countries as well and becoming one of the most watched cartoons. “Dragon Ball Super” is the continuation of the same and hopes to resurrect the glory “Dragon Ball Z” witnessed. The makers can be sure that the sequel too will be generating a similar kind of response that “Dragon Ball Z” did. Some updates about the series were revealed.

According to Christian Today, newer details reveal that a plot synopsis of the first episode that will be airing on July 5th has been made available in the August edition of V Jump magazine. According to what the website has reported, the series will continue right after the battle between Goku and Majin Buu that took place.

Goku had emerged victorious in the battle and after having defeated Majin Buu, it is being said that life will become peaceful once again. Although following instructions by Chi-chi to earn some money, Goku takes up work even though his wish to continue training stays. Another details revealed that Gohan and Videl will be taking their relationship to another level and ultimately end up being married.

Anime News Network reported that a new antagonist by the name of Shanpa will be introduced and will be making an appearance along side God of Destruction Beerus and Whis who had appeared in movies like “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods” and “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F.” Both the God of Destruction Beerus and his attendant Whis will be returning as regular characters. As further details are slowly revealed, fans continue to guess which characters will be resurrected and what story line will be added to the TV series.
