Duchess of Cambridge First Public Engagements for 2015 Announced [WATCH VIDEO]
Clarence House confirmed on Jan. 6, 2015 that the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton will attend two public engagements this month, on Jan. 15-16, 2015. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
House announced the said engagements with a series of tweets from her official Twitter account. It was said that the Duchess of Cambridge will be the patron for The Art Room. It is a charity event that “offers art as therapy to young people who are facing challenges in their lives.”
After spending the holidays with Prince William and baby George at their Sandringham House, the Duchess of Cambridge is getting back to work.
Middleton will first visit Barlby Primary School in London to name the Clore art room as part of her involvement with the Art Room charity. Next day, she will attend an event hosted by the Fostering Network where she will “celebrate the dedicated work of foster carers.”
She is due in April with Prince George’s sibling and will celebrate her 33rd birthday on Jan. 9, 2015. The pregnant Duchess was forced to pull out from a number of planned activities late last year because of acute morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum). She had to cancel her visit to Malta. She has been doing great since entering her second trimester. In addition, she has proved it from the short 48-hour New York City trip to hosting her family for the holidays. The Duchess and Prince William met Beyoncé and Jay Z during their visit.
At present, there are nine Art Rooms in schools in Oxfordshire, London and Edinburgh. Art Rooms offer art as therapy to amplify children’s self-respect, self-confidence and self-determination. The charity aimed at 5-16 year olds who are experiencing emotional and behavioral difficulties.
