Apparently the reality star mom is happy to keep her entire “Duck Dynasty,” including husband Phil Robertson, in control for the A&E hit reality series. But, Miss Kay’s journey hasn’t always been so simple since she married Robertson at the tender age of sixteen.
“The worst advice I ever got was when they told me to leave him,” “I attribute a lot of [sticking with Phil] to my grandma. She was such a stickler for staying with your marriage. She always used to say, ‘You have to fight for your marriage,'” said Miss Kay in the Fox 411 interview.
“Of course I was someone that never believed I would have to do that because I read way too many books that ended with, ‘And they lived happily ever after.’…When I say, ‘I love you,’ it’s for life. If we would not have stayed together I would have known in my heart that I had done everything I could possibly do to make that marriage work,” continued Miss Kay.
During Robertson’s stint with alcoholism, she comforted her children, Alan, Jase, Willie, and Jep, that their father is a good man who will soon defeat the devil. She reassured the kids that he deserved exoneration.
“We’ll pray and pray that the devil will leave him but he has to make the choice to do that,” “I knew that from the Bible, and eventually he did make the right choice. I think that’s why my heart and my kids were easy to forgive too,” added Miss Kay in the Fox 411 interview.
In the latter part of 2013, the Robertson family has taken the audience by storm, when Phil gave an interview to GQ magazine. In interview he stated clearly that homosexuality is a felony comparable to inhumanity.
“It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus,” said Robertson in the GQ report.

A&E suspended him from “Duck Dynasty,” for nine days. Robertson’s supporters demanded his immediate reinstatement to the show in a petition at IStandWithPhil.com.
