Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Channels Inner Swiftie in ‘Lip Sync Battle’ [WATCH VIDEO]
Who knew Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is actually a Swiftie? The “Furious 7” star performed Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” in a sneak preview of his performance on “Lip Sync Battle.” Read on to learn more about this scoop.
It looks like Johnson is out to get his hands on everything. From showing off his skills in wrestling all the way to acting, the “Fast and Furious 7” star also wants to show off his skills in singing and dancing!
The former wrestler posted a teaser of his appearance on LL Cool J’s upcoming show, “Lip Sync Battle” on his Instagram account. The 42-year-old wrestler-turned-actor appeareed in the video while he was lip syncing and dancing to Taylor Swift’s hit single, “Shake It Off.”
Johnson is wearing a black top, which completely shows his bulky muscles while dancing along to the song. In the video, Johnson shows off that despite his impressive muscles, he still has a soft body that can shake and move along to the lyrics, “I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake.”
According to US Weekly, Johnson will be battling against other stars such as Jimmy Fallon, John Legend, Emily Blunt, and John Krasinski.
“Lip Sync Battle” premieres on Spike TV on Apr. 2, 2015. The series was based on Jimmy Fallon’s epic lip sync battles on his show, which became such a hit that the network decided to make it into a separate show.
In another news, Johnson is also set to appear on “Saturday Night Live” after successfully hosting the show for three times. According to Paste magazine, Johnson will be back on the show on Saturday, Mar. 28, 2015.
The outlet reported that this will be Johnson’s appearance on the show since his first hosting gig for SNL 15 years ago. It may also be a way for Johnson to promote his upcoming film, “Furious 7,” which premieres on Apr. 3, 2015
“The Rock” will be back on the franchise as Agent Luke Hobbs. Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham) has promised revenge against him, Dom (Vin Diesel), Brian (Paul Walker), and the rest of the gang for killing his brother in the previous “Fast and the Furious” film.
