‘DWTS’ Cast Member Karina Smirnoff Engaged to Jason Adelman
After her fair share of broken engagements and heartbreaks, “Dancing with the Stars” cast member Karina Smirnoff is finally about to tie the knot as her boyfriend of less than a year, Jason Adelman, gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him.
According to an exclusive report from Star magazine, Adelman proposed to Smirnoff on Saturday night, Jan. 10, 2015 in front of her friends and family. And the elated girl is just so in love with this guy that she couldn’t find it in her heart to reject him.
“Karina is sure that Jason is the one. He treats her like a queen and is ecstatic that she said yes,” an insider told Star magazine.
Though the two have not yet formally announced their engagement, a friend of Adelman’s posted on Instagram a screenshot from Adelman’s Facebook page, saying of his being engaged.
Adelman also posted a photo of him and Smirnoff dancing in each other’s arms.
Not much is known about the new man in Smirnoff’s life, that even other media reports mistook his name to be Jason Gale instead of Adelman. And the couple have kept mum on their relationship all this time, though they have been seen on public sometimes, like that of MailOnline’s report on spotting the two in Farmers’ Market on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015.
A friend of Smirnoff revealed that she is not wasting time in preparing for her upcoming wedding.
“Karina wants to get married as soon as possible and definitely wants it to be a big event. She already has visions of exactly what she wants,” the source added.
Before her engagement to Adelman, Smirnoff was previously engaged twice. She was engaged to her fellow “Dancing with the Stars” member, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but she broke it off in 2009. In 2010, she was engaged to baseball player Brad Penny, but they broke it off in December 2011.
