‘EastEnders:’ Lindsey Coulson Is Quitting Carol Jackson Role For Third Time

Lindsey Coulson is reported to be,quitting her part as who plays the role of Carol Jackson from the British TV program “EastEnders” for the third time. The actress has fond memories of the role and her award-winning performance, but she says that it is time to leave. Read on.

After 4 years, she quit the role in 1997. Coulson then returned to the show in 1999, and remained for 6 months and then left the role again. She then returned in February 2010. After taking a six-month break over the summer period in early 2012, Daily Star reported that she would permanently leave the show in 2015.

“I’ve had a fantastic time playing the formidable Carol Jackson and although I miss everything about EastEnders,” Coulson told Daily Star on Sunday.

According to Mirror, “Time is right to move on,” said the 54-year-old Coulson. She previously got the British Soap Award for the best dramatic performance for her emotional scenes in the drama.

“Now it’s time for me to play some different characters and tell some new ones,” said the lovely actress, revealed Digital Spy.

METRO reported that Coulson’s character, who is combating with breast cancer last year, in the drama will leave Albert Square behind later this year. However, the drama says goodbye to the role for good as the door for the role is being left wide open for Coulson.

“The door will always be open for Lindsey to return to EastEnders,” and “EastEnders has always been so lucky to have an actress of Lindsey’s caliber to return to EastEnders,” said EastEnders’ executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins.

We wish Lindsey Coulson huge luck for her roles she will be taking in other TV shows and dramas. Let us hopefully wait for her re-entry in “EastEnders.”
