Eddie Redmayne in ‘Fantastic Beasts’
The much talked about Harry Potter spin-off that people have been waiting for eagerly has had some developments recently and they certainly are nothing but good. Makers of the spin-off movie had discussed earlier and reported that they have been in talks with a few contenders and also auditioning a couple of them for the lead role and it was then that the British actor’s name popped up. It can now be confirmed that it is indeed the Brit who has been selected to play the coveted role of the eminent Zoologist.
According to Yahoo! Movies, Warner Bros. have roped in David Yates to direct the film that has a script written by J.K.Rowling who is returning to the limelight after writing the much unforgettable “Harry Potter” novels that probably changed every child’s experience of growing up. The author also wrote Fantastic Beasts that was an extension to the already massive Wizard world that she created. WB’s Greg Silverman confirmed Eddie Redmayne as the lead in the movie.
Eddie will be playing the role of Magic Zoologist Newt Scamander who in his lifetime went on many adventures encountering many mythical creatures and in turn documented those adventures later to be made into the textbook which was used in Hogwarts titled “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. However as reported earlier, Newt Scamander storyline will be completely different from Harry Potter’s story since the former character existed much before than the boy wizard in the Wizard world.
Still fresh from his recent Academy award win, Eddie was hugely praised by Mr. Silverman who mentioned that the actor is one of the most extraordinarily talented and acclaimed actors, was also thrilled to welcome the actor in the magical world of Wizardry. Eddie Redmayne who was last seen in “The Theory of Everything” will be joined by a bunch of boys and girls who will accompany his character in his adventures with the story set in New York.
