Eddie Redmayne Opens Up About The Pressures Of Doing A ‘Harry Potter’ Prequel
After years of taking the world by storm, the franchise of the amazing world of “Harry Potter,” it seems, will never go away, especially as a brand “Harry Potter” based film is heading its way towards the hearts of everyone who was enthralled by the wizarding world, entitled “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.” As both wizards and non-wizards are eagerly waiting for this highly anticipated film, the film’s star, Eddie Redmayne, recently shared his thoughts on how this film has brought about a lot of pressure on him and his cast mates. Read on to learn more about the pressure that Eddie Redmayne is currently experiencing due to the latest “Harry Potter” based film.
As of late, actor Eddie Redmayne has been the talk of the town, especially with his performance in “Danish Girl.” However, despite all of this, according to a recent interview the actor did with E! News and Entertainment Weekly, there is one other upcoming project for him that has brought in a lot of pressure around him and his cast mates – the upcoming “Harry Potter” spin-off film, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
Based on the companion book of the same name,which was written by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym of renowned mazizoologist (magic zoologist), Newt Scamander, the spin-off centers around Scamander and is set in the wizarding world of New York City seventy years before the “Harry Potter” books and films.
According to the interview, Redmayne stated that portraying the main character of the film has upped the ante for him, so to speak, as he is beginning to feel the pressure as the original eight “Harry Potter” films were all big successes and left quite a legacy behind.
Now, it is up to Redmayne and his cast mates to live up to the standard set by the original films.
However, the actor stated that he felt privileged and honored to be part of the wizarding world, as he is a big fan of Rowling
