Elizabeth Banks is officially set to direct the third installment of musical comedy series “Pitch Perfect.” She has earlier directed, in fact debuted as a director with “Pitch Perfect 2,” which became a massive hit and even surpassed the gross of the first part. Her directorial debut set a record for the weekend collection as a first time director too. Read on to find out more exclusive revelation about “Pitch Perfect 3” scoop ahead.

According to Coming Soon, Elizabeth Banks will continue to direct the third part of “Pitch Perfect” after debuting in “Pitch perfect 2.” Only the first part of the series was done by Jason Moore which was done commendably.

The team includes Kay Cannon who is popularly known for her works in series like “30 Rock” and “New Girl” who continues to script the series for the third part.

As per the cast, Britanny Snow, Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick have already confirmed to reprise their roles in “Pitch Perfect 3.” However, there are lots of names yet to come. “Pitch Perfect 2” has a long list of stars that are yet to announce the reprisal of their roles in the third part.

Banks is also going to appear in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2” in the role of Effie Trinket considering it as one last time appearance in the series.

“Pitch Perfect 3” is developed by Max Handelman & Elizabeth Banks of Brownstone Productions along with Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Entertainment. It will clash on the same release date with the “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.” The Universal Picture venture is all set to come out in 2017 at your nearest theater.
