Elizabeth Banks Reveals Details about Pitch Perfect 2

If you’re into musical comedies, particularly a capella music with a twist, you have probably enjoyed “Pitch Perfect.” It’s a movie that everyone should not miss because it is very entertaining. Now, the sequel to the popular musical comedy film is reportedly in the works. The good news was revealed by no less than the movie’s director herself. Read on as Elizabeth Banks (“The Hunger Games” films, “Pitch Perfect) reveals details about “Pitch Perfect 2.”

According to Out.com, Banks revealed that “Pitch Perfect” stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are confirmed to star in “Pitch Perfect 2,” which she will direct. She also talked a bit about the sequel’s plot.

“They’re all graduating seniors,” said Banks in the Out.com report, referring to Wilson and Kendrick’s characters.

Banks also confirmed that John Michael Higgins would be returning in “Pitch Perfect 2.” Higgins played John Smith, the funny commentator alongside Banks’ Gail Abernathy-McKadden.

“We will see a little more of Gail and Jon and delve into their dynamic,” Banks added in the Out.com article.

However, for fans who are dying to see Banks sing on the movie, well, it’s not going to happen.  Too bad, it would be nice to hear Gail sing.

Currently, production of “Pitch Perfect 2” is taking place in Louisiana.

We wonder, will the Barden Bellas go to Nationals again? And, remember Bumper (Adam DeVine)? Yes, the guy who left his group, the Treblemakers at the last minute just because he got an amazing opportunity to be John Mayer’s personal backup singer! Well, is he coming back? Did he even graduate?

One thing, though that we know for sure, it’s going to be amazing! “Pitch Perfect” has given a capella a whole new meaning and we did enjoy the first movie. Who can ever forget the “cup song” and The Barden Bellas’ Nationals performance? We just can’t wait for more of this!

What do you think about this? Are you excited? Do you think it’s aca-awesome that there’s an upcoming movie sequel for our favorite musical comedy? Share with us your thoughts through comments!

“Pitch Perfect 2” will hit theatres on May 15, 2015.
