Ellen DeGeneres Dedicates Teen Choice Award To Wife Portia de Rossi
Isn’t that just wonderful? Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi celebrate their seven-year anniversary and what’s better than to celebrate it with an award. Ellen did just that, she dedicated her Teen Choice award to wife Portia de Rossi.
According to Daily Mail, Ellen marked her seven-year wedding anniversary to wife Portia de Rossi by dedicating the award to her. “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” presenter was given the award of Choice Comedian Ceremonial Surfboard by Sarah Hyland of “Modern Family.”
Ellen stated that it was an amazing day for her as she marks her seven-year wedding anniversary with wife Portia de Rossi. After sharing a kiss, the comedienne went back hand in hand with wife to her seat and held the award under her arm. Known for her philanthropic work and astute comic timing, she also gave a word of advice to teenagers who seemed to be struggling emotionally during her speech. The couple also posed for photographs as they walked the red carpet.
At the award function she also stated that there was a time when she was not chosen just because she was different. However, now it does feel good to be chosen. She also stressed on how one should be proud of what he/she is and whatever makes you different today, helps you stand out from other in future. Dressed in simple jacket and trousers, she looked elegant and really carried her getup really well.
According to the media outlet, the comedienne is said to have proposed to Portia de Rossi after the latter broke up with director Francesca Gregorini. It is also being said that Portia de Rossi split with the director so that she could date Ellen. Known for her comic timing, Ellen is known for bringing in some of the biggest names in Hollywood on her show. Name it and that celebrity has been on the show for more than one reasons. Currently, it is being rumored that Hillary Clinton will be making an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” soon.
