Ellen DeGeneres Plans to Renew Wedding Vows with Portia de Rossi on TV

Ellen DeGeneres and wife, Portia de Rossi are being bombarded by divorce rumours the past few weeks but it looks like the couple is doing well because according to reports, the couple is actually planning to renew their wedding vows on TV. Read on.

According to Star Pulse, the 57-year old comedian and the host of “Ellen” is thinking about having a “big, gay wedding,” which might be a hit on TV. DeGeneres thinks that such an event can garner up to 20 million viewers and is contemplating to air on it on her Internet channel named “Ellentube.”


Aside from slamming the divorce rumours plaguing her and de Rossi’s marriage, DeGeneres would also like to take this opportunity to use her fame to celebrate gay marriage now that it is being recognised by the government.

For years now, DeGeneres is said to be the “alpha” of her relationship with de Rossi. It was said that is causing the “incessant fights” the two have been having because de Rossi wants to take full control of her own career.

DeGeneres and de Rossi’s first wedding ceremony is reported to only having 19 people and this TV vows renewal may attract the biggest names in Hollywood.

It’s not only the divorce rumours that the talk show host needs to tackle because there are also speculations that she will be leaving “Ellen” when her contract expires in 2017.

A source told RadarOnline, “Ellen’s contract is up in 2017, and she has told her staff that she does now know if she is going to renew it. Everyone on the staff is just freaking out over this.”

“Ellen” is one of the longest running daytime talk show since it aired in 2003.
