Eminem Turns Down $8 Million Movie Offer; Find The Reason Behind His Million Dollar Rejection!
Eminem has reportedly turned down a movie offer worth $8 million. Read on to find out the details why he decided to blow up more than a million dollar offer.
Marshall Bruce Mathers III, or better known as Eminem, was in the limelight once again. This time it’s not about his “Southpaw” movie nor his new rap song, but his million dollar movie rejection!
According to news.com.au, the 42-year-old American rapper was once approached by his fellow rapper 50 Cent with a proposal for a crime film in which they will play as gangsters.
In the film, the two hip-hop artists were supposed to be playing the characters of a gang leaders from two different rival groups.
“I’m like the head of this gang in Detroit and he’s the head of another gang,” 50 Cent told Q Magazine.
However, the “In Da Club” rapper was dumbfounded when his friend thinks the script was not harsh enough for him! He wants it to be grittier, more vulgar. Adding that “The Monster” rapper wanted to have a “The Warriors” like the movie, he liked the film script to be more like a reminiscent of the 1979 controversial street gangs movie.
But, 50 Cent did not give up!
When he heard that the rapper does not like the idea of leaving Detriot to shoot the film, the 40-year-old rapper told him that the film creators are willing to give eight million just to get hi the role.
Adding on, the creators agreed that he doesn’t have to leave Detriot, so he can go home every night if wants to. (What a kind offer!)
“It looks cool, but I think we should do a movie like “The Warriors.” Eminem said after he read the storyline.
In return, 50 Cent was left taken aback and said “The Warriors? What the f**k, Em? Did you just hear me say they want to give you eight million dollars and you don’t have to leave Detroit?”
50 Cent can’t believe that his pal would turn down an eight million dollar offer—as in $8 million movie project and multiple favorable offers just because he thinks the movie was not as bad as the 1979 gangster movie “The Warrior”! (That’s a big amount of money!)
Well, it seems like 50 Cent was right with: “He didn’t give a f**k” statement for his pal.
On the other hand, The Detriot News reported that Eminem was currently soliciting donations from fans to raise enough money to help 15 additional students in their enrollment in the after-school youth tutoring program.
