Eric Dane and Kathleen Robertson in The Fixer TV Miniseries
Even as they are busy with their new TV shows currently airing on TNT, Eric Dane, the star of “The Last Ship“, and Kathleen Robertson, one of the leads in “Murder in the First,” will top bill the four-hour miniseries “The Fixer.” Read further to know more about these stars latest project.
Set for initial airing in Canada with an option for distribution worldwide, “The Fixer” follows the story of Ellie Molaro (Robertson) who is a National Transport and Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who is hoping to find answers into a disaster involving an oil rig. As tipped by Carter (Dane), who claims that there’s a conspiracy behind this with “fixers” working in the sidelines to cause this disasters, Molaro is pressured to look for proof that this was indeed rigged to favor a selected few of their investments in the stock market. The fixers’ next moves will apparently target Washington D.C. Thus, Molaro and Carter have to find a way to stop this without becoming casualties themselves.
Giles Perrault (“Being Human”) is on board as the producer, with Peter Howitt (“Johnny English”) directing the action thriller. Other executive producers also include Irene Litinsky, Michael Prupas, Gene Stein and Christina O’Shea-Daly, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
“The Fixer” is produced by Muse Entertainment, the same Canadian production outfit behind the miniseries “The Kennedys,” which starred Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes and aired on the ReelzChannel in 2011. The show won numerous Emmy Awards for the network, including Lead Actor for a Miniseries for Barry Pepper.
Muse will partner with Sonar Entertainment, which will be tasked to shop the series for international release. The two production companies have previously worked together to secure sales of TV shows globally in cable networks like Reelz and SyFy.
At the moment, Muse is also busy with the production of “Tut” for Spike, which will star Ben Kingsley.
And that’s the news about the miniseries “The Fixer,” which will star Eric Dane and Kathleen Robertson. The miniseries will be airing on Canadian television and subsequently airing in international networks. The exact air date has yet to be confirmed by the production.
