Ex EXO Member Tao To Star In Jackie Chan’s ‘Railway Asylum’
Former EXOs member, Tao is going to star in a Jackie Chan movie. Unlike his first movie, “You are my sunshine,” the new movie will be an action movie. The film is being produced under the working title, “Railway Asylum” and is set be produced by Shanghai Film Group Corporation. The movie will be directed by Ding Sheng.
Tao is been keeping busy despite having been caught up in legal troubles with S. M Entertainment. His breakout movie, “You are my Sunshine” was a hit and now he has Jackie Chan’s production group’s attention. He is going to star in a action period film which is being produced under the working title of “Railway Asylum.”
The film is set during the Sino Japanese War period of the 1940’s. Jackie Chan and Tao will be playing a couple of railroad workers who secretly resist the Japanese who are trying to occupy China. They use guerilla war tactics to resist the Japanese Aggression.
“Railway Asylum” will be directed by the acclaimed director, Ding Sheng, who has also directed Jackie Chan’s big hit, “Police Story.” The film will be shot in China’s picturesque Shangdong province and will be released for general public in October 2017.
Meanwhile, Tao will continue his legal battle with S. M Entertainment over the exclusive contract they had signed with him. He is planning to get the courts to terminate the contract with the group on the grounds that the group neglected promoting his individual career and taking care of his health issues.
This will be Tao’s second film. His first movie was a major Chinese hit. Another former member of EXO, Lay will also be seen in Jackie Chan’s, “Kung Fu Yoga.”
