EXO Member Baekhyun To Start Filming His Debut Drama ‘Moon Lovers?’

Fans will soon see EXO member Baekhyun in a Korean drama “Moon Lovers” where he is rumored to play as one of the emperor’s heirs. The singer will be joining Kang Ha Neul and Lee Joon Ki.
According to KPop Starz, the good news about Byun Baekhyun’s acting project was announced last November 17 by his record label, SM Entertainment.
The site added that the story will be based on the show “Scarlet Heart,” a Chinese historical drama that was aired in December 2010. The remake of the drama series revolves around a Jang Hyo, a woman who travels back to the Qing Dynasty.
However, based on Soompi’s report, since the drama was originally based in Chinese story, the team will make some changes, especially to the settings to make it more suitable for the Korean viewers.
It was not Baekhyun’s first try in the acting world as he already appeared in a web drama before, however, it is his first time to be seen in a television show ever since he debuted as an EXO member.
Moreover, Baekhyun is not the only one who was given the opportunity to become an actor after debuting as a singer three years ago. Reports say that his fellow members are also taking new acting projects in the coming months.
EXO members, Suho, Chanyeol, D.O and Xiumin had secured their roles in their upcoming dramas. Chanyeol will be appearing in two movies including “So, I Married An Anti-Fan” where he is set to act alongside with Girls Generation Seohyun.
Adding on, D.O has already been tapped to be in two movies both lined up to hit the cinemas in the year 2016.
On the other hand, the oldest member, Xiumin, is prepping up for his upcoming historical movie, “Kim Sun Dal.” He is also part of the web-drama “Falling for Challenge” that already garnered more than 20 million views. To express his gratefulness, Xiumin posted a hand written “thank you note” for all the supporters of the show.
Moving on, Baekhyun’s movie is set to start filming early 2016.
