EXO’s Chanyeol Joins Weibo, Asks Fans To Pray For Tianjin’s Tragic Warehouse Explosions’ Victims
The Seoul-based Chinese-South Korean boy band EXO’s Park Chan-yeol aka Chanyeol is in news for creating an account on Weibo. The confirmation of his creating the account on this social networking site came from his EXO’s fellow member Lay (Zhang Yixing) when on Aug. 14 he started following him.
Within few days of his joining Weibo, millions of fans started following the Korean singer, which is a clear cut indication that how much popular he is among Chinese people. The 22-year-old singer asked people to pray for the victims of tragic warehouse explosions which took place on Aug. 12, Wednesday, in Tianjin, China, through his first and the only post.
The K-pop star is very popular and active on Instagram too, and just like it he is planning to update followers about his daily routine, life, pictures, his projects with EXO members and many other details by using Weibo account.
Recently, the South Korean actor cum singer’s band EXO has held many events for the Chinese and Korean fans as they have re-released their second studio album EXODUS as “Love Me Right” with four new songs. Previously, it was released in March 2015 and “Call Me Baby” was its lead song.
The first album of the band was “XOXO” which was released in 2013 having two versions, first edition was a Korean “Kiss” and the other edition was a Chinese “Hug.” “XOXO” was successful in winning the ‘Album of the year’ title at the “2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards.”
