“Falling For Challenge” is a web-based drama series. This isn’t Xiumin’s first time to appear on a TV series as he has already starred in a previous web drama series titled “EXO Next Door.” In fact, he’s not unfamiliar in the film industry has he just recently wrapped up a historical themed movie titled “Kim Seol Dal” where he played a supporting role.
As for Kim, she became famous in “The Scholar Who Walks The Night” where she played opposite actor Lee Jun Ki.
“Falling For Challenge” will focus on Na Do Jeon. He is Xiumin’s character who is a part-time clown because he loves making people happy. Meanwhile, Ban Ha Na, Kim’s character is a woman who wishes to own her own food truck. They will meet at a club called “One Plus” and that’s when their will unfold.
Xiumin isn’t only the member of EXO who has gotten a lead role. Just recently, co-member Chanyeol was cast as the male lead for an upcoming Chinese movie. So far, this is Xiumin and Chanyeol’s biggest roles compared to the roles they have played before.
Due to the popularity of EXO, Xiumin has gotten mixed reactions from fans when the news broke that he’s appearing on a TV series again. Some were delighted while others weren’t pleased and thinks that the production of the TV series could’ve chosen a better actor instead of Xiumin.
The cast of “Falling For Challenge” will start shooting early next week. For the meantime, EXO is preparing for their new upcoming Japanese single for “Love Me Right,” which is expected to be released in Nov. 2015.
