Facebook Reveals 2014’s Most-Mentioned Moments, Entertainers, Songs, Places [WATCH VIDEO]

As we are approaching towards the New Year 2015, hence to make it users fell nostalgic Facebook has revealed some of the most mentioned things of the year. The lists were compiled by measuring how frequently a particular topic was cited in Facebook posts throughout the year. In its new "Year in Review" website, Facebook has listed its top-10 most-mentioned movies, TV shows, songs, entertainers, popular topics, places, athletes, games, and most-viewed ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos of 2014. The list included; Disneyland as the most checked into place in the U.S., and George W. Bush had the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video most viewed on Facebook. The most- talked about worldwide topic of the year is the World Cup.


Game of Thrones,” tops the list of most-mentioned TV shows. The HBO series is followed by “Orange Is the New Black,” “The Walking Dead,” “The Big Bang Theory,”  and “Downton Abbey.”

Among Facebook's U.S. users, “Frozen,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,”  and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” were the top three most-mentioned movies. Beyonce tops the list of most-mentioned entertainers followed by Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift. The most-discussed songs are Williams' "Happy," John Legend's "All of Me" and "Stay With Me" by Sam Smith.
