“Faking It” Recap: Season 1 Episode 8 “Burnt Toast”
The Season 1 finale was epic! A lot of interesting things happened. If you haven’t seen it, then stop reading now. We do not want to spoil the ending for you.
The dance between Karma and Amy was just sweet and amazing. This was definitely a scene that you should not miss. We couldn’t get over it just yet. It was like set on replay in our heads.
In other news, Lauren was dumped. If you can still remember, Shane decided to get back at her by spilling her secret about the pill. However, we still didn’t know what it was for, but Lauren told Tommy about it, and he immediately broke up with her.
The whole Liam and Karma romance took a turn when Liam crashed Amy and Lauren’s parents’ wedding just to make out with Karma under a table. He even asked Karma to promise him that she and Amy were over because he didn’t want to get his heart broken. Yes, Liam was so hooked and addicted to Karma. Just when things were finally going right for Karma, and she had finally hooked the man of her dreams, Shane told Liam about the whole Karma and Amy relationship and that everything was fake. Amy was really not up for the whole secret relationship.
Meanwhile, Shane was rooting for Pablo. He liked him so much that he finally told Pablo his real feelings during the wedding. But before anything else, Pablo had something to say too. He told Shane that he’s celibate and waiting for marriage to have sex and asked Shane if he’s willing to wait for that. Shane agreed, without thinking about it first, and they kissed. Hmmm… we think they’re going to have a big problem down the line.
Lauren made a speech for their newlywed parents. It made everyone teary-eyed. When it was Amy’s turn, she decided to make things much better by confessing her real feelings for Karma. However, before you jump for joy that Amy finally voiced out her true feelings for Karma, Karma told Amy that she doesn’t feel the same way. This was such a heartbreaking scene.
Amy was heartbroken of course, as well as Liam, and the two decided to go for it and have sex. Was it sweet revenge? We don’t think so.
That’s it for the Season 1 Episode 8 “Burnt Toast.” Now, we have to wait for at least a year for Season 2. What do you think of the show’s season finale? Share us your thoughts by posting your comments below.
