There are around a million books published in a year, but hardly any book is compared to George R. R. Martin’s “Game of Thrones.” The upcoming crowd-funded illustrated novel, “Fall of Gods” has everything that makes the world go on their knees to compare it with “Game of Thrones.” “Fall of Gods” is based on North Mythology, has fantasy, drama and we hope to see some exciting thrills.
Not only “Game of Thrones” but “Fall of Gods” is also in comparison with the upcoming “Warcraft”, and according to reports 20th Century Fox has taken an interest in turning the novel into a movie.
Rasmus Bergreen at MOOD Visuals, alongside the artist Jan Ditley Christensen and the writer of “Hitman” Michael Vogt, have created “Fall of Gods.” The graphic novel is being considered a fresh artwork with a take on ancient Norse mythology and considering the fan following, it seems like that it would be a major movie franchise.
According to The Tracking Board, 20th Century Fox is very much interested to take the preemptive rights of the movie version of “Fall of Gods.” Steve Tzirlin, who earlier produced, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and Brooklyn Weaver, the producer of “Extant” are being considered to produce the movie.
“Fall of Gods” is currently available through pre-order only and it seems that the talent agency CAA is working very hard for a lucrative rights package and if reports are to be considered true then 20th Century Fox is snooping around for the exciting prospect.
The story of “Fall of Gods” starts after all the Gods are gone and their place was taken by two rivaling races, Humans and Jotnar. A clash that arose fifteen years ago drove the Jotnar race away from the Midgard and now from each side of the border, the Humans and Jotnar are always fighting. The story of “Fall of Gods” will become more interesting when the wife of Midgard’s most powerful chieftains is mysteriously kidnapped and a retired warrior will go on a journey to rescue her.
