Raven Metzner. “Evolve or Die” started off with the successful escape of Tom (Noal Wyle) and the others from the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment. They were previously detained in the Espheni Ghetto when they were captured in “Ghost in the Machine.”
Tom continued his plans with Conchise (Doug Jones), who brought 71 people with him. They thought of starting looking for Tom’s youngest son, Matt (Maxim Knight). In “The Eye,” Matt was included in the group of young people who have been schooled to follow the Espheni and their rules. Hal (Drew Roy) was left to hold the fort, but John Pope (Colin Cunningham) disobeyed him.
Pope went to find some fuel near the perimeters of the organic garden. He was surprised when he was ambushed by Sarah (Mira Sorvino), a self-proclaimed “squatter.” Pope saw more of himself with Sarah so he accepted her invitation for beer. Little did he know, Sarah spiked up the drink and tied him while unconscious. She was about to leave him behind when several Espheni arrived at the area.
Lexi’s (Scarlet Byrne) rapid growth and mysterious meetings with the Monk Overload started to become a problem among them. Maggie (Sarah Carter), Anne (Moon Bloodgood) and the others confronted her about the injured Overlord. Using its skills, the Overload took over Ben (Connor Jessup) and shared that their kind wanted to live with humans harmoniously. Later, Anne remembered that the same spike was used on her by Karen (Jessica Schram) while she was pregnant. Anne got mad, but Lexi immediately used her Wind of Powers on them. The Overload ordered her to stop.
Tom panicked when the first set of kids he saw made noise using their whistles. Mira was there to guide him to Matt’s prison cell. Matt was previously jailed after they found a pair of wire cutters with him in “Exodus.” Weaver (Will Patton), on the other hand, was attacked by a mysterious creature. Weaver was saved by another creature who attacked the first one. He later learned that the creature was Jeannie, his missing daughter.
Hal decided to lead the others and leave the place. At first, Sarah and Pope refused, but Dinangaan convinced him to do it. He spray-painted a wall with the message for Tom using a code that the Espheni cannot understand. On the other hand, the Overlords from both sides continued to talk about their plans.
