Gamespot reports that the adult animated sitcom series, “Family Guy” might get its own movie soon. The show is still popular even though it is in its fourteenth season and fans have begun to ask the creator, Seth MacFarlane, if he is ever going to look into making the movie. Somebody, most likely a fan, asked MacFarlane if he is ever going to make a movie based on the series, and he said, “Soon. Soon!”

Well, this sounds like we are making too much out of a single word, but fans have been waiting for the movie for a really long time. Many were delighted to hear that MacFarlane is finally giving the idea a thought. He wasn’t quite so positive about it at the San Diego Comic-Con two months ago. It was when he had told the fans that he wasn’t even mulling over making a movie. He had told the fans that he wasn’t planning on making any movies based on the franchise.

If they do make a “Family Guy” movie, this won’t be the first time. A direct to DVD movie called “Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story” was released in 2005. It was later aired on TV as a three-part miniseries. The plot involved Stewie going out in the world to find his father.

The plot to the movie has not been revealed yet. But speculations are rife among the fans and some of them are speculating that it might be based on the “Family Guy” game, which has a “Simpsons” style layout of the plot.
