Read on to learn more about this scoop.
Fans are already gearing up and bracing themselves for another high speed car racing, as Vin Diesel recently announced that “Fast and Furious 8” is in the works. Many fans thought that “Furious 7” will mark the end of the “Fast and Furious” franchise, especially after the tragic car accident in November, which left Paul Walker dead.
While the latest installment paid tribute to Walker, many were wondering if Brian O’Conner’s exit from the series would also mean that his wife, Mia, will no longer star in the sequel.
Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto on the “Fast & Furious” franchise, revealed her thoughts on reprising her role for another sequel.
“I don’t know [if I’d do another film], but it’s always dependent on the fans. If they want one and there’s an appetite for it. We never want to jump the shark!” she said, according to IB Times.
Another possible returning character in “Furious 8” is Jason Statham, who played as Owen’s older brother, Deckard Shaw in “Furious 7.” While Statham did not exactly confirm his involvement in the upcoming sequel, the 47-year-old actor confirmed to Den of Geek that “Fast & Furious 8” is indeed happening.
“To me, it depends what Universal are doing and when they want to go,” Statham said on reprising his role in “Furious 8.”
