Fergie Dishes In on Marriage with Josh Duhamel
Marriages take work. It doesn’t mean that once a person is married, he is set to live happily ever after. In the case of celebrities, this is pretty evident as well. Fergie shares some of her tips on how to keep the flame alive in her marriage with Josh Duhamel.
On the latest issue of Allure magazine, “Black Eyed Peas” singer Fergie graces the cover and opens up on some important matters about her marriage to 42-year-old actor Josh Duhamel.
As the two celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary, the 39-year-old singer shares that their marriage is not free from any misunderstandings. In fact, Fergie shares that she and her husband have embraced couple’s therapy and regularly attend sessions. She also shares that her husband is not afraid of therapy and that he doesn’t feel “not man enough” to get help for their marriage.
Because of their jet-setting lifestyles, the two have set up some rules to keep their love intact. Fergie and Duhamel have made a two-week rule — meaning there will be a two-week break in between tours and filming that the couple takes. This way, they will have enough time together and still get to focus on their careers. Especially now that they have a child named Axl, it will require cooperation between the two.
On her Allure cover shoot, Duhamel visited his wife and brought along their 16-month-old child with him. Duhamel also currently stars in “Battle Creek,” an upcoming CBS drama.
Apart from their two-week rule, they both share that nothing is off limits between them, not even bikini waxes. Turns out Duhamel walked in while Fergie was getting a bikini wax. Instead of leaving, however, her husband just got curious about the hairy procedure.
Now that Fergie is set to release her second solo album, their two-week rule will surely be put to test. With her upcoming album set for release this year, the singer knew which one to do first. After that, she’ll be ready to have another child.
