‘Fifty Shades Darker’: Is Ellie Goulding Returning For Sequels?

Ellie Goulding has reasons to be pleased with her efforts. It has been quite a hectic week for the studio that is right behind the film “Fifty Shades of Grey”. The interesting news about the franchise that came out was that it has got nomination for a Golden Globe.

The movie got terrible reviews and no one had anticipated that its name will feature in any of the awards conversation but kudos to Ellie Goulding, who sang the popular number “Love Me Like You Do”, that was penned down for the film “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

Thanks to Goulding’s amazing singing that it has now got a Golden Globe nomination. The film is pitted against other reputed franchise movies namely “Spectre” and “Furious 7”. Other nominees in the category are “Love and Mercy” and “Youth”.

It is not quite likely that Goulding will pick up the award, but it could certainly help the franchise to get greater exposure. What will perhaps be interesting for us is to wait and watch whether she could repeat this feat at the Academy’s as her song has even qualified for an entry at Oscars.

Perhaps what would be even more exciting to know whether Ellie Goulding will be contracted to be part of the film “Fifty Shades Darker”.

The movie will head for production within the next few weeks. A revelation has been already made by Dakota Johnson that she will sport a blonde look for her role in “Fifty Shades Darker” but will she do that as a motivation from the director is yet to be known.

Although, her character in the book, Anastasia Steele is known to sport brown locks.

The character of Christian Grey will be played by Jamie Dornan. Apparently, James Foley will be the director of the next two films in the franchise.

The film “Fifty Shades Darker” is expected to release in the year 2017. Let us hope that Ellie Goulding returns for the sequel as a singer.
