There isn’t a moment where fans stop thinking about “Fifty Shades Darker”, however there should be nothing to be taken away from its former counterpart “Fifty Shades of Grey”. The Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan starrer went on to earn a whopping $166 million domestically and $570 million worldwide. The figures alone do not suggest the huge success the film gained, however it certainly has left the audiences wanting for more from the franchise.

The series is an outcome of one of the bestselling erotic novel of E.L. James, while she deserves equal credit as the actors Dornan, along with Johnson.

But owing much to the late release according to The Independent, “Fifty Shades of Grey” is ineligible for nomination to the Oscars. However, the lack of nomination will not stop the stars of the film to walk down the red carpet. The stars of the controversial movie series will be present in the holy award giving ceremony and will be provided with an opportunity to serve on to their industrial colleagues. Johnson has been appointed to serve an award, while actress Rita Ora, who played the role of “Mia”, the sister of Mr. Grey in the film, shall perform on stage.

Nothing to be disappointed about as Latin Post reports the Ellie Goulding’s song “Love Me Like You Do”, which was featured in “Fifty Shades of Grey” and was also one of the top ten songs of the year might get an opportunity to represent the film at the Oscars. The song has been nominated at Golden Globe and Critics Choice awards, which has eventually opened the door of Oscars. However, it remains to be seen whether the song actually wins the award at the former two, as if it does it will certainly confirm its ticket to Oscars. Whatever the end result is, it is certainly good news for the British singer Goulding as she also grabbed nomination for Billboard and BBC.
