First Images of ‘True Detective’ Season 2 Set Update
HBO has been releasing series that are not short of praises and recognition, and one of their prime ones is finally starting its production. Set pictures for “True Detective Season 2” are circulating the web, and it’s featuring new actors Collin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch. Read on to know more about the details of this scoop.
Earlier last year, it has been revealed that the plot for the second season of “True Detective” will not be an aftermath for the first season. It will basically be following a different kind of storyline. However, it will be staying within the theme of crime and occult seeing as it is targeted to take place in the not so common places of California. Moreover, instead of having two police officers working together, “True Detective” Season 2 will be seeing justice through the eyes of three different police officers and a criminal who would later on get associated and entangled into one mind blowing conspiracy. Production for the series has started, and lead cast Rachel McAdams, Collin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch are looking very interesting.

According to Screen Rant, the first two episode of “True Detective” Season 2 will be directed by “Fast & Furious 6” helmsman Justin Lin, and he will be followed by Danish director Janus Metz Pedersen for episode three. The directors for the successive episodes have yet to be announced, but first images of the production are hitting online. Their first set pictures are revealing casually clad McAdams and Kitsch with a mustache wearing shortened pony tailed Farrell carrying their own handguns. The location is at downtown Los Angeles, and they are all carrying their handguns.
Farrell plays the role of Ray Velcoro, the detective who has both his feet attached on the law and corruption. McAdams is playing the role of Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff detective who has an unwavering hold of ethics that leaves her in an odd position with the people and system she works with. Kitsch is Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran who became a motorcycle officer for the California Highway Patrol after he chose to run away from a difficult and scandalous past. Vince Vaughn is also part of the lead cast, but he has yet to make an appearance on the set pictures.
