“We Are Your Friends” stars Zac Efron, Wes Bentley and Emily Ratajkowski, set in a world of electronic music and the Hollywood nightlife. Cole (Efron) is an aspiring 23-year-old DJ who spends most of his days goofing along with his childhood friends. He is working on nights as a DJ to make a “one track that will set the world on fire.”

However, all of these changes when he meets James (Bentley), a veteran DJ who takes Cole under his wing. Things get complicated when Cole meets James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie (Emily Ratajkowski), and starts developing feelings for her. A forbidden relationship, a falling out among friends and a yet unaccomplished dream, Cole must now choose between love, loyalty and the future he’s destined to have.

“We Are Your Friends” is directed by Max Joseph, who will also pen the screenplay with Meaghan Oppenheimer from a story by Richard Silverman.

Working Title Films’ Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce the project, with Silverman as executive producer. Studio Canal will be financing and repping domestic rights for release.
