First Photo of Paul Rudd as Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’

Ant-Man,” Marvel’s upcoming live-action adaptation, has begun filming recently at its location in San Fransisco. The film recently releases the first look at Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, a “conman-turned superhero” in Marvel’s superhero feature film “Ant- Man.” Read on to learn more about it.

According to Deadline, Walt Disney Studios Publicity has shared the first official image of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang. Rudd, who sported a hoodie in the image will play Scott Lang. :ang is an out-of-luck electronics expert  who becomes a “thief-turned-superhero”  must help his mentor, the first Ant-Man, Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas in a story of the heist that will save the day.


Rudd and Douglas will be joined by Evangeline Lilly and Corey Stoll who were both announced to join the cast earlier at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. Lilly will play as Hope Van Dyne, an original character, the daughter of Hank Pym while Stoll will be playing central villain, Darren Cross or Yellow Jacket.

Recently, “Mad Men” actor John Slattery, who previously played the role of Howard Stark, Tony Stark’s father in “Iron Man 2” joined the cast along with Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Gregg Turkington and rapper-actor T.I.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” is an upcoming superhero film based on the comic book characters of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

“Ant-Man” is part of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Phase Three project that will expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with “Captain America 3”, “Doctor Strange” and “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.”

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will produce the film along with Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee as executive producers. “Ant-Man” is directed by Peyton Reed, known for his works including “Bring It On”, “Down with Love”, and “The Break-Up”. It will hit the big screens in July 17, 2015.
