FKA Twigs Respond to Xenophobic Comments for Dating Robert Pattinson [WATCH VIDEO]

FKA twigs took some time off from her busy schedule to deal with the onslaught of fuming, chauvinistic tweets she’s had to tolerate since her relationship with Robert Pattinson was made public. Read on to learn more about Movie News Guide’s (MNG) report about how FKA twigs responded to bigoted comments for dating Robert Pattinson.

As we have earlier reported that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs dating. The couple’s recent relationship reports have made her the object of intense interest from racist people. Unfortunately, a number of racially prejudiced people are also lashing out because she is not white. On her Twitter on Sunday, the singer posted two tweets commenting about the gruesome racist name-calling pitched at her lately.


“I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week,” wrote FKA twigs on her Twitter account FKA twigs on Sept. 28, 2014.

“Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it’s unacceptable online,” tweeted the 26-year-old singer on Sept. 28, 2014.

It was reported that the backlash came from three kinds of haters including “the racist “fans” of Pattinson, absolute chauvinistic people and Twi-hard fans of Kristen Stewart, Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend and Twilight co-star.”

FKA Twigs’s real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, was born in Gloucestershire and is now based in London. Tahliah’s father is Jamaican and a mother comes from mixed English and Spanish descent. Here are some of the  intolerable comments  social media users have emanated:

“@famousthottie: @FKAtwigs nigger” you’re such a bitch nigga,” wrote a user named heyyyyy omg.

“you’re like a monkey, really i can’t believe that rob kissed you,” wrote One username hxzscurls.

“I can’t believe I have changed Robert Goddess Kristen for this monkey,” wrote One username Angeelicacsp.

Twigs also received support messages on Twitter following this entire episode of hate comments. “FKAtwigs thank you for speaking on this. people are treating you like you aren’t human and I’m sick of it,” shared another username GAYD0GF00D supporting Twigs.

In the meantime, its celebration time for twigs, as she is up for three awards at the MOBO Awards 2014.
