Both “The Flash” and “Arrow” are taking a break after this week’s episodes and won’t be back in another two weeks. And when they do come back on the small screen on December 1 and 2, respectively, the episodes will be intertwined. As mentioned in the previous report, it will be the first proper crossover. Marc Guggenheim, the “Arrow” developer, said the two separate episodes will be a “true” two-parter, with the story starting on “The Flash” and ending on “Arrow.”

To see just how exciting the intertwined episodes will be, The CW has posted on YouTube a clip titled, “Crossover Trailer.” It starts off lighthearted with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) toasting his team and Flash’s team and saying, “It’s really great to see everyone. I wish it wasn’t just the dark times that brought us together.” Then things get darker.

The two superheroes get to know about Vandal Savage. When Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) asks who Vandal Savage, Carter Hall a.k.a. Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) tells them he’s an immortal and that they won’t be able to get rid of him. But Barry confidently responds with, “Watch us.”

Then the action starts, as if the interspersed words are not enough to excite fans. The video promised, “A battle so intense, it takes 2 nights to fight.”

Another thing to note from the 30-second clip are the new faces to be ushered in to the Arrow universe. Aside from Carter, there’s also Kendra Saunders a.k.a. Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée). The two are going to star in the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow.” John Barrowman also guest stars in the crossover episodes as Malcolm.
