Floyd Mayweather Will Give Manny Pacquiao A Rematch Once He’s Fully Recovered From Surgery

Floyd Mayweather has been reported to offer Manny Pacquiao a rematch after their fight held on Saturday which led to a unanimous decision by the judges. However, this was long to happen after Pacquiao said he has a torn rotator cuff and would undergo surgery.

While the drama continues with Manny Pacquiao claiming that he could have won the fight if he hadn’t gotten his shoulder injured during training, Floyd Mayweather has said that he is willing to go on a rematch with Pacman.

However, Manny needed to undergo a surgery that would need him to rest for nine months to a year. By then, Floyd Mayweather would already be 39 years old while Manny Pacquiao would be 37 years old. This raises a strong question – whether or not the fight between the two boxers would be as relevant then as the one that took place last Saturday night at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Aside from that, we really don’t know if fans would still be willing to pay soaring high prices for a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Most fans who paid for pay-per view think that they have been ripped off due to the high cost of watching which turned out to be less entertaining, said Forbes.

Meanwhile, we all know that Floyd Mayweather has already said he would retire by September. However, this was all going to change after saying he would give Manny Pacquiao a rematch as soon as Pacman recovers from his surgery. A tweet from Sports Center was posted on Twitter saying, “THIS JUST IN: Floyd Mayweather says in a text to @stephenasmith that he would give Manny Pacquiao a rematch.”

Many were surprised with what Floyd Mayweather said because we all thought he would enjoy his winnings and would finally retire from the world of boxing.

Should there be a rematch between the two fighters, we can expect that tickets for a rematch to cost US$109.95 by that time, says a report from FT USAToday. Many said they will no longer pay for highly priced tickets, but we doubt it! The world of boxing has gotten many people hooked and who knows, people might be willing to pay even higher to watch a rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
