Former ‘Dance Moms’ Star Paige Hyland Pursues YouTube Career

Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) has moved on gracefully after dancer Paige Hyland left the group. ALDC’s road to fame has reached Los Angeles. It was although recent “Dance Moms” episodes are suggesting that their journey is not so graceful anymore. On the other hand, Hyland is also moving on with a successful YouTube career. According to IBTimes, Hyland’s absence was possible because of her mother Kelly and Abby Lee Miller’s teenage rivalry that led to a dysfunctional trainer-client relationship. Hyland;s was kicked out of the show because of an assault against Miller. However, she tried to get back at her by filing lawsuits with her daughter.


In an interview with IBTimes, Hyland explained that her love for internet tutorials was from watching a lot of YouTube videos. She said her YouTube tutorials could be helpful for her to update and interact with her fans. She is also initiating Q&A portions, tours around her room and presentation of her day-to-day activities. She said she is getting ideas from her fans.

According to IBTimes, Hyland has more than 100,000 YouTube subscribers. She said her friends are her greatest supporters. She believed that her friends like her videos genuinely.

As always, Kelly is a supportive mother. She also makes cameos sometimes in her daughter’s videos. She said she is thankful for Hyland’s fans to be able to like her daughter more than being just a “Dance Moms” star. She shared that she is having so much fun whenever she makes videos with her daughter because she believed that it strengthens their bond.

Kelly assured that education still comes first. She said she is making sure that Hyland must maintain high grades before permitting her to do extra activities.

Hyland said she still loves dancing but has not joined any studio for the meantime. She explained that she is taking classes in various locations because she believed that different ways of teaching is “nice.”

Hyland’s 16-year-old sister Brooke was also invited to coordinate making a segment on YouTube. However, she was still busy at school and was about to get a driver’s license. Kelly said she is not rushing to make her daughters join reality TV again. She wants to make sure that Hyland and Brooke would make it to positive TV series.

“I think it would be nice to go back on TV, but for right now, I’m sticking with YouTube!” Hyland told IBTimes.

“Dance Moms” airs every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. on Lifetime.
