‘We Are Your Friends’ Movie Spoilers, News: Producers Throw a Real Concert for Filming

Young heartthrob Zac Efron is going to star in the new movie “We are your friends.” The movie will narrate the story of an aspiring 23 year old DJ who wants to write that one track that will set the world on fire. The film is expected to release next month.

“We are your friends’ is putting on quite a show in the music circuit. The production house which produced the movie also staged many real music festivals to shoot the scenes for the movie. They threw an actual concert to shoot a few scenes for the film. During the concert, Stars of “We Are Your Friends” Zac Efron, Wes Bentley, Emily Ratajkowski, Jonny Weston, Shiloh Fernandez and Jon Bernthal partied alongside many extras to shoot many important realistic scenes for the movie.


With less than a month to its release, Warner Brothers which is the production house of the movie, is hosting several parties and music festivals to promote the movie.

The synopsis of the movie released by Warner Brothers tells the story of Cole, an aspiring DJ. The movie is set in the world of Hollywood nightlife and electronic music . Cole hangs around with his childhood friends and dreams of writing that one song that will take the music world by storm. All of his reality changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James, who takes it unto himself to train Cole.

The plot becomes complicated when Cole feels attracted to James’ girlfriend Sophie. Zac Efron plays Cole. Wes Bentley plays his mentor, James, and Emily Ratajkowski dones the role of the seductive Sophie.

Since “We are your friends” tells the story of the life of an electronic dance music DJ, the movie features several artists in their official soundtrack such as Dom Dolla, Fake Blood, The Magician, Tchami, Kygo, Justice, Deorro, and Pusha T among others. The sound track to the movie is expected to release on Aug. 21, a week before the movie’s premiere. MNR Daily reported the news first.
