‘Frozen 2’ Update: A ‘Tangled’ Crossover, A Spinoff Olaf Movie; Rumors Fly Like Snowballs
After Disney confirming the pre-production of “Frozen 2,” plot rumors have become rampant. Is Flynn Rider, from “Tangled”, going to drop in? Will Elsa be getting a love interest in the upcoming movie? Is Olaf getting his own film? Read on to find out more.
In a recent article, Latino Post published a list of characters who are fan favorites to appear in the sequel. And the kind-hearted-thief from “Tangled”, Flynn Rider is just about the top of the list. It was because of a host of personable characteristics like “dashing good looks” and “executes some seriously good executions.”
Another character in the Disney roster who is a fan favorite for a “Frozen 2” appearance is Jack Frost, from ”Rise Of The Guardians.” Frost, who is now Disney’s second most popular ice-powered-character, has a lot of similarities with Elsa, including an inclination to sacrifice everything for their respective sisters.
Director Chris Buck recently hinted at an “awesome ending” for “Frozen 2”, although he admits he hasn’t written the whole story with co-director Jennifer Lee. But according to this Movie Pilot speculation, themes of redemption and sisterhood are going to be explored, and Prince Hans might return in a villainous capacity. In a recent post, Movie News Guide explored the possibility of a “bad Anna.”
Josh Gad, who voiced the character of ” Olaf,” in the meantime discussed the possibility of a stand-alone spin-off movie with Olaf. Calling it a possibility, Gad told IGN that the team would want to “get the right” considering the huge “expectations.”
Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell have confirmed their return to the “Frozen” sequel as Elsa and Anna respectively. Josh Gad as Olaf and Jonathan Groff’s Kristoff are also returning to “Frozen 2.”
“Frozen 2” is slotted to hit theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.
