‘Full House’ Star John Stamos Speaks Out After DUI Arrest

American actor John Stamos was arrested for drunk driving in Los Angeles on Friday. The 51-year-old actor was pulled over by Beverly Hills Police Department officers, Sgt. David Armour at 7:45 p.m. local time after receiving numerous calls about possible drunk driving.

Police confirmed that John Stamos was the only person in the car and after being pulled over he showed officers his driver’s license and identified himself verbally. He was then taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for possible medical condition. John Stamos was confirmed at the hospital as driving under influence.


John Stamos was given a citation for DUI and released to the care of the hospital. According to Sgt. David Armour, John Stamos is to appear in court on September 11, 2015 regarding the whole incident.

He has not since the incident, made any comments to the media but tweeted through his account, “Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the (Beverly Hills police) & Cedars (hospital) for their care.”

John Stamos, a soap-opera heartthrob had made his debut in the television world through “General Hospital” in 1983. He shot to fame via his main lead role in “Full House.” Before “Full House,” John Stamos has also played main role of not-so-famous “You Again?”

Since 2005, he has been the national spokesperson for ‘Project Cuddle’. John Stamos is also starring in Fox’s upcoming sitcom “Grandfathered” and has been producing and promoting “Fuller House,” a “Full House” spinoff which will premiere on Netflix next year and Stamos will be seen reprising his famous role of Jesse Katsopolis.

Since his famous role in “Full House,” John Stamos has appeared in many movies and TV shows. He has also worked in “ER,” “Thieves,” “Necessary Roghness” and, “Losing It with John Stamos.” He was also about to appear as main lead on TV series “Members Only” but that got shelved by ABC before its premiere.
